6 October 2003

2003 was a special year for BRGS as it was a dual celebration! The school celebrated its 90th anniversary since it was built at our present site in Waterfoot, as well as our 300th anniversary of when the school was founded, tracing our origins back to Newchurch Grammar School in 1703.

The last reunion before this one for all former pupils was in 1998 and attracted over 1000 people back to their roots at the school. The 2003 reunion included guests who travelled back to Rossendale to renew friendships from as far afield as America, Australia and China.
