Liam Taylor, Alex Willis, Stephen Horrocks and Jack Heyworth are the Year 12 Boys British Schools Orienteering Champions having completed a wet and windy challenging course over the British Army’s Tank Training ground at Bovington, Dorset.

The team have in previous years been perennial runners up to the likes of Ulverston Victoria and Nottingham High Schools respectively, but this year they finished in pole position, leaving their rivals far behind.

The school’s overall position was third place for the second year running, but only two points behind King Henry VIII this time.

Emily Lester, in her final appearance, at a British Schools Championships, took a Siver Medal second place in Y13 Girls and the all new Year 7 Girls team of Eilidh Brailey, Esther Clare, Heather Cudworth, Rachel Service, and Bronagh Wyatt-Thorburn finished third place, winning Bronze Medals.
