The annual trip to the Moselle Valley in Germany took place just before half term with a group of forty Year 8 students visiting the Roman city of Trier, Burg Eltz and Phantasialand.

Just after midnight on October 20th 2009, 40 pupils from Year 8 set off on a 5 day trip to the Moselle Valley in Germany. They visited the Roman City of Trier which is also an excellent centre for shopping. The second day was spent in the Phantasialand theme park near Cologne, with rides to suit all tastes. Evening activities included events such as a quiz night and a talent competition.

The final day included a guided tou r of Castle Eltz and a look round the town of Cochem on the banks of the Moselle. Castle Eltz is one of the most photogenic castles in Germany, and Cochem was the last opportunity to buy souvenirs in the many gift shops. There was a disco on the final evening, before an early(ish) night and the long journey home.
