As part of BRGS' continued committment to Holocaust Education, Year 9 have taken part in Houston Museum's Butterfly Project.

Students from all over the world have participated in the creation of 1.5 million butterflies to act as a memorial to the 1.5 million children who perished in the Holocaust.

As part of this, Year 9 have each created their own butterfly which is a memorial to one child researched from the Yad Vashem memorial database.

In addition BRGS have also created a permanent memorial within school in the form of a butterfly. Students, staff as well as Holocaust survivor Rudi Oppenheimer have all signed the butterfly in commemoration of victims of the Holocaust.

It is now on permanent display in our school hall.
