A well established trip of over 20 years to the beautiful valley of Longsleddale in the Lake District was enjoyed by a group of Year 10 pupils.

Unusually, the weather was astounding and the wind was a welcome relief on the walks on the Saturday which had followed a balmy night hike on Friday evening.

Pupils enjoyed the freedom of cooking their own food and evening entertainment , directed by the voluntary LOPC staff, involved being serenaded by the talented pupils and action packed games using a broom, string, dice and a cereal box.

The weekend was rounded off with a refreshing ghyll scramble.
