To supplement the Key Stage 3 and GCSE Curriculum history teacher Margaret Stanley invited some 'Roman Soldiers' from Roman Tours to BRGS.

Students from Year 7 saw the story of the Roman invasion of Britain and Year 10 students learned about Roman Medicine and the impact of the Roman Empire on the development of surgery and hospitals.

All of the classes involved thoroughly involved the role play involved, not least dressing up as a Roman Soldier, as well as seeing first hand Roman artefacts.
