Alan Porteous, Headteacher, said “We are proud and delighted that the results achieved by our Year 11 students this year continue our sustained record of outstanding academic attainment with nearly two-thirds of results at A*-A and 90% at A*-B, both a significant improvement on last year at a time when national results are expected to be more volatile.  We are particularly delighted that 95% of our students achieved the English Baccalaureate reflecting very strong achievement against a challenging national benchmark with a national average last year 22.7%. Clearly these excellent results have not been achieved without a huge amount of hard work and commitment from both our students and staff, and we congratulate them on their achievements. The vast majority of our Year 11 students are staying on into BRGS Sixth Form and we look forward to welcoming them alongside students from other local schools.”
