Education Secretary Nicky Morgan visits BRGS

BRGS welcomed the Secretary of State for Education, Nicky Morgan to BRGS this afternoon in a visit organised by Jake Berry MP.

It was an opportunity for all teachers from schools in Rossendale and Darwen to discuss the future educational landscape and to pose questions in an informal setting with Chris Rider from BBC Radio Lancashire chairing the ‘Teacher Direct – Question and Answer Session’.  Questions posed focused on teacher recruitment and retention in the Education Sector; the age at which to assess in primary schools; curriculum changes and school funding.
