Mock Trial Winners

Fifteen students from Years 8 and 9 attended the Regional Heat of a Mock Trial competition.  They took on the role of lawyers, witnesses, court staff and journalists to prosecute and defend a case in Burnley Magistrates Court about the theft of a mobile phone.

They competed against three other schools in the north-west.  Their excellent performance gained them entry into the final which will take place in May.  Congratulations to the following students on winning the Regional Trophy:
