A small group of Year 11 students have helped Miss Gore to make hand warmers for elderly people with dementia.  The hand warmers are designed to keep patients' hands warm whilst having lots of 'bits and bobs' to play with to keep their mind active.

The hand warmers were taken to the Ulster Hospital in Belfast as this was where Miss Gore's Granny was looked after in her last few months.  Ward 21 in The Care of the Elderly Unit has passed on thanks to the students and said that the hand warmers will bring pleasure to a number of their patients.

Miss Gore would also like to thank Miss Marti and Mrs Bowdler for knitting the hand warmers.

A big thank you to the students involved:  Ariij Asif, Georgia Babaoglu, Georgia Oultram, Linnea McDonough and Cara King.
