Sixth form students Joshua Smith and Joseph Eaton formed the BRGS team in the Regional Round of the Cambridge Schools Debating Competition. Both debated articulately and convincingly on a range of topics.  With only 15 minutes preparation for each topic and the use of the internet to research or plan banned, Joshua and Joseph showed excellent general knowledge and came second in their final debate.

Motions were as follows:

This House would abolish all labour laws in developing countries.

This House regrets the rise of social media as the primary source of news distribution.

This House supports Israel's policy of intentional ambiguity.
