Cycling Champion

Maisy Vasic is going from strength to strength in the youth cycling races, recently competing in four town centre races:  Ilkley, Otley, Skipton and Colne.  

Year 9 Maisy came third in the U16 race at Ilkley, only beaten by two Year 11 girls.  Conditions were extremely wet in Otley with Maisy third at the final corner but then hitting a rough bit of road and losing control over her back wheel.  She lost her leading position but still came an excellent 9th out of 15 riders.  Skipton was the next race with Maisy finishing third after a tough race.  She enjoyed her moment on the podium, celebrating the result of all her training.
