Jamie Mitchell was our guest speaker at Senior Speech Night on the 21st December 2017.  Jamie left BRGS in 2012 to study Nuclear Engineering at Lancaster University.  He is currently carrying out his PhD at CERN, working on the largest machine in the world:  the Larger Hadron Collider upgrade.  Jamie's work includes scientific research and engineering.

Jamie's key message to former students being presented with their A level certificates was to ensure that you get the balance right in life and to apply yourself effectively to your work whilst endeavouring to use your time wisely. Jamie reflected on his time at BRGS and the strong friendships he made as well as sharing a few humorous recollections of his time as a student here.

It was wonderful to see the class of 2017 return to receive their A level certificates and we wish them every success in the bright future that awaits them all.
