Year 7 pupil Eve wrote the following poem in appreciation of the NHS.

We see our heroes in royal blue,
They fight for me and they fight for you.
We watch in terror as they risk their lives,
And all we can do is stay inside.
Our eight o'clock claps display our gratitude,
In these hard times we have a positive attitude.
Although we have to stay two metres apart,
We're closer than ever, together at heart.
All the key workers displaying their kindness,
Pulling together, to beat this virus.
They walk into battle, with no second thought,
Some of them losing, this war they fought.
In ten years time we'll look back at it all,
We'll remember those lives, each one that would fall.
All the kind workers wear their hearts on their sleeve,
Every life lost, each one we grieve.
So let's beat this virus together,
Showing our strength forever and ever.
