Students through to Semi-Finals of Britain's Got Talent

Back in February, five BRGS students who are members of Rochdale Youth Choir went with the rest of their choir members to The Lowry and performed alongside Sign Along With Us for an audition for Britain's Got Talent.  Sign Along With Us sign the words to the songs, to ensure that the music is more inclusive.

The audition then aired in April and showed the group giving an energetic and inspiring performance of This is Me, which won the tears and hearts of many and the Golden Buzzer from David Walliams, putting them straight through to the semi finals. (The audition video on YouTube is now at 22 million views, check it out if you haven’t seen it). 

Throughout lockdown, the group have continued to rehearse, via zoom, and also been on TV shows such as This Morning and Blue Peter, (which has proved challenging to record individual performances and then put them together as a group).

Now, Britain’s Got Talent is back on our screens and they are performing in the third semi final, (despite the vocal choir still not being able to gather together for rehearsals).  We think that they will feature in the show on the 19th September so do show them your support by voting for their act!
