Pupils who fought in World Wars 1916-1940
Information about some pupils involved in the war effort (written in 1996 BRGS Associate Newsletter)
Please note the following addendum to the newsletter from Neville Mitchell's family: "Neville Mitchell was shot down with the loss of all crew by Night Fighter Ace Werne Baake on a raid to Nürnberg on 28th August 1943. Although the crew only had a short Operational life of just 4 weeks they flew on some remarkable missions, dropping mines, bombing the Peenemunde rocket research establishment (V1 & V2 weapons) Berlin and lastly Nürnberg."
