A group of Year 8 students came up with a novel fundraising idea for the NSPCC with the aim to raise £200. Between them, they ran a marathon and a little bit more (30 miles), in relay over the course of a bitterly cold and blustery morning.  Students ran laps of the all-weather pitch on the 31st January. One of the Year 8 students, Keir, reflected on the experience:  "I've had fun doing the charity run, it was very tiring but it was worth it and I am proud of myself and the others." Robyn said: "It was hard to run when it was really windy, but it was good to run for a charity."  In between laps of the pitch the students busily carried on with their studies in the school hall!
