A Level Results Day 2016
18 August 2016
Students at BRGS Sixth Form celebrated record success at A-level, after achieving the school's best ever results at this level. Nearly three quarters of the grades achieved (73%) were the top grades of A*- B with a record 46% at A*- A. 46 students achieved the excellent standard of 3 or more passes at A/A*.
Alan Porteous, Headteacher, said "We are absolutely delighted with these results which are our best ever by a significant margin (7% higher than our previous best); for a non-selective sixth form like BRGS this is a fantastic achievement. Credit for these results goes first to our students for their hard work and effort over the past two years, and secondly to our dedicated team of teaching staff, who have provided the outstanding teaching and support that has enabled our students to achieve so highly. Congratulations to all involved - we wish our students every success as they go on to their next steps.”
