Poem recited at Passchendaele

Year 9 student Lucy Scully was one of our winning students in the Poetry by Heart competition.  Lucy recited a poem penned by poet Francis Ledwidge called 'The Dead Kings'.  Little did she know that on the Year 9 trip to Ypres she would find his grave and memorial.  Movingly, Lucy recited 'The Dead Kings' by his grave: he died on the first day of the battle of Passchendaele.
