Image of Challenging Views at Debating Competition

Year 10 students Robert, Orla, Ismaeel and Hasnat argued strongly in their first two debates of the day where they were given the titles:

  • Premiership footballers deserve all the rewards they get.
  • Autonomous vehicles will make driving safer.

Having topped the overall leader board they went into the semi-finals with high hopes except they were arguing for the motion that 'voting should be made compulsory in the UK'.  They did a fantastic job trying to persuade the audience and judges with their reasoning but sadly missed out on reaching the final by just one mark.  A fantastic effort all round!
