The Charity Challenge for Year 7 students and some Year 8 students during enrichment week introduced students to UNICEF's Convention on the Rights of the Child. Working collaboratively and strategically with others, students selected a charity to represent that works to protect children's rights. Then, students designed and presented an event of their choice designed to promote their chosen cause. Students were asked to use the skills they have learned this year in their English lessons to plan and manage all aspects of their event, from the marketing to the finances.

The winning groups were as follows:

Year 8 Group:  Cancer Research

7B:  The Fawcett Trust

7G:  The Children's Trust

7R:  The Malala Fund

7S:  Ribble Valley Food Bank

7N:  Children in Need

7W:  Children in Need

The overall winner was The Malala Fund and the group's work is proudly on display in the hall.  Congratulations to all.
