Double Maths is an option for students who wish to study Further Maths alongside A level Maths; if you study Double Maths for the full 2 years at BRGS Sixth Form, you will leave with an A level in Maths and an A level in Further Maths.

You will study the maths specification in year 12 and then the Further Maths specification in year 13. Since you are choosing to do 2 A Levels, it takes up 2 blocks on your timetable. Typically therefore, you would have 2 lessons of maths in a day to get through the full 2 A level courses in 2 years. Due to the demanding nature of studying both Maths and Further Maths, the GCSE requirement is that you have at least a grade 7 in Maths in order to start the course.  More information on the content of the Further Maths course can be found on the page for Maths: https://www.brgs.org.uk/sixth-form/our-courses/mathematics
