Grade-one-a-thon

The Music Department’s Grade-one-a-thon has proved to be an outstanding success with staff achieving the following results in their exams:

Anne Bulman – flugel horn (distinction)
Kate Byrne – trumpet (merit)
Sandra Harris – clarinet (merit)
Jane Jackson – piano (distinction)
Martin Pigott – guitar (merit)
Justin Proudman – piano (distinction)
Angela Wardle – saxophone (merit)

Talented BRGS music students were responsible for teaching staff to grade 1 standard and all those taking part raised sponsorship for the challenge with over £700 raised for the Francis House Children’s Hospice.
