Year 9 Awards Assembly

Year 9 students had their efforts rewarded today in their annual awards assembly.  

Awards were presented to the following students for 100% attendance over the course of the last academic year:

Charles Ainsworth, Anna Baird, Lucy Barrett, Eleanor Ellis, Elizabeth Jackson, William Jones, Aran Francis, Michael Hargreaves, Matthew Hides, Alexander Lowery, Grace Mills, Dominic Mychajlyshyn, Alex Nuttall, Thomas Pauline, Lucy Scully, Luke Shepherd and Christian Wood.

ABRSM Certificates were presented to Amelia Buckley (Grade 1 Piano), Charlotte Crossley-Smith (Grade 2 Singing), Isabella Francis (Grade 2 Singing), Kia Hacking (Grade 2 Guitar), Erin Hargreaves (Grade 3 Clarinet), Matthew Hides (Grade 2 Guitar), Scarlett Mullender (Grade 2 E Flat Horn), Jenny Mayall (Grade 3 Clarinet and Grade 5 Music Theory) and Olivia Rhodes (Grade 5 Alto Sax)

Form prizes awarded to students with the highest average attitude to learning grades over the course of the year (generously funded by the PTA) were presented to: Zach Carter and Alaris Hart (9B), Madison Beaumont and Paul Jackson (9G), Erin Hargreaves and Nathaniel Hughes (9N), Ethan Barnes and Lucy Scully (9R), George Earnshaw and Eleanor Ellis (9S) and Riccardo Atherton and Anna Baird (9W).

Other prizes awarded were The Junior PE Prizes to Anna Baird, Max Cunningham and Erin Hargreaves and The Harry Gibson Cup was presented to Fallon Cooney.

Finally, presented for the very first time as a result of student nominations across the School from Years 7-13 was The Tom Gallagher Award in Support of Others.  The worthy winner this year was Elinore Nugent.
